Ingredients

apples
like fuji or a mix of fuji and granny smith, cored and chopped
¼
cup
sugar
honey, or maple syrup (optional)

tablespoons
unsalted butter

freshly squeezed lemon juice

cinnamon

Instructions
In the Instant Pot, combine the apples with the sugar, lemon juice, butter, cinnamon, and salt, if using.
Pressure cook for 5 minutes.
Quick-release the pressure.
Mash the apples in the pot with a potato masher.
Serve immediately or let cool to room temperature and then cover and refrigerate for up to 2 weeks.
